Veritas-International, PVI o Solace Global Maritime. Desde septiembre de 2011
dirige su propia firma: IMAAG (International Maritime Anti-Piracy Advisory
Group).
Dear All,
We wish to inform you that from this moment onwards the book “Maritime Anti-Piracy. The Captain’s Guidebook’ will be reduced from it’s original price of £195 to £95.
We wish to inform you that from this moment onwards the book “Maritime Anti-Piracy. The Captain’s Guidebook’ will be reduced from it’s original price of £195 to £95.
As our first published book it was very difficult to price it, as ship’s books are extremely expensive. IMAAG Ltd sought professional advice from literacy agents and publishers of maritime books and for a book of 394 coloured pages in A4 and being the only type of its kind that the price should be between £200-300 each.
We decided to lower that from the existing £195, as we always felt that this was still too high, therefore the price will now be £95 plus the courier’s fees.
The book has had very positive feedback from all sectors of the industry. Not only has appraisal come from shipping companies and their Captains, but also from the UK authorities, training establishments and from PCASPs / MSOs as well. Negative feedback is also important and things cannot be improved upon unless we know. Thankfully this has been minimalistic, but the points have been taken very seriously and amendments will be made in future editions.
It has been requested that the book be available electronically, we are considering this and also the option to buy a licensed PDF of individual chapters rather than the entire book. In the future this may be possible, the major problem is illegal copying as the music and film industry suffers with illegal download sites.
It will soon be possible to download a sample of the book for those interested in purchasing it via the website www.imaag.co.uk this will be samples of varying chapters to show the detail that is contained within.
We now have agents promoting the book in America and in the Middle East where sales continue to grow. The book is presently only available via the website but will also be available via Amazon too.
IMAAG would like to thank all of those who have bought the book via LinkedIn and given us feedback.
Best regards
Peter King
